Resumo

The paper aims to set grounds to analyse the correlation between Development and Rule of Law indicators in Brazil, comparing Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI), which are perception indicators, and GDP
per capita, homicides, and child mortality, in a comparative perspective between Brazil, Italy and the United States. It is formulated a hypothesis of unsustainable growth of Brazilian GDP per capita. It is identified the need of effort to increase the Rule of Law indicators in order to obtain sustainable growth in Brazil.
